Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Zero Fault Ninja ("ZFN", "we", "us") collects when you use this website (zerofault.ninja) and the ZFN mod for Trials Fusion, how that information is used, and the choices you have. By using the site or the mod, you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

Zero Fault Ninja is a community-run, non-commercial project that archives and helps players browse and play user-created Trials Fusion tracks. It is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Ubisoft, RedLynx, or any official Trials product.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we store your email address, a display name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Gameplay data. If you use the mod's run submission features, we store the runs you submit — the track, your fault count, completion time, platform, date, and any optional notes or video link you add. This data is associated with your account.
• Your in-game creator identity. To link your website account with the tracks you have created in-game, the mod may send your game account's public creator identifier. This is used only to associate your account with your created tracks.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our servers may log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, for security and to keep the service running.
• Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics (see below), which sets its own cookies.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are popular). Google Analytics collects information such as your approximate location, device, and browsing activity on this site, and sets cookies to do so. This information is processed by Google in accordance with their own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
• To display your submitted runs on your profile and on track leaderboards.
• To associate your account with the tracks you have created.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website and mod.
• To contact you about your account (for example, email verification or password recovery).

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. Some information is shared in the normal course of running the service:

• Publicly visible data. Your display name, your submitted runs, and the tracks you have created are visible to other users on the site. Your email address is never shown publicly.
• Service providers. We use Google Analytics as described above. Our hosting and infrastructure providers process data on our behalf to run the service.
• Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.

Data retention

We keep your account information and submitted data for as long as your account exists. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, contact us (see below) and we will remove it, except where we are required to retain certain information.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to opt out of certain processing. You can update your account details in your settings, opt out of analytics as described above, and request account deletion by contacting us. We will honor valid requests as required by applicable law (including the GDPR and CCPA where they apply).

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
